Hope

There was one bird, you,
Then two
When hope came.
Time passed, hope left,
And so did you.
I waited alone.
Hope came, and went.
Never staying for long.
But now
You say you may return.
The hope bird has come back.
I am not alone anymore.
I realize that I never was.
I felt sad without you
But now you come with hopeful news.
So I wait with hope
consuming me
and wait
for you
to fly back to me.

Again, this was very sweet, and I also love the ending, this describes how I felt perfectly--except my best friend didn't come back. :(
