Unmoving but beautiful
Palms gripping the gold painted pole
The breeze blows through your hair
Parents chuckle and smile every time they see their child
Free
Only for a short second, but wonderful
Up and down the movement takes you
Smile engulfing your face
Loud music playing but no sound in your ear
Done
It has ended, bringing the joy to a halt
To only wait till next time
THE next time
The merry goes round
As if telling you it’ll never stop
To only leave you in utter disappointment
Happiness never lasts
