Silent
Lips parted in a soundless scream
Don’t hurt me
I can’t fight back
The blows come fast, painful
I’m on my knees
Stop
Please
Blood stings my eyes
Turning my world red
Stop! My aching body wails
But the cries remain, unspoken, behind my lips
I can’t strike back
I’m powerless
My voice is lodged in my throat, I cannot speak
Cannot scream
Stop
Don’t hurt me anymore
Suddenly, the hits stop
But the pain continues
It worms into my head, ruining my voice
Why am I silent, you ask?
Just ask my destroyer

This poem is sad, but I like it. It is much better than the one that I wrote. This poem always makes my eyes water.
