Some see school as a boring place
They complain outright they
it
Yet give gossip and drama a warm, friendly embrace

Others see school as torturous agony
Say they feel their brain slowly burning with every passing second
But I have to say I disagree

Instead I see school as a wonderful haven
Where each day I have opportunities to learn, read, and grow
So some day in my future, after all this fun is done
I will be prepared to fly away
Wings spread somewhat as a raven’s

Small but powerful,
Someone who can travel great distances someday
I hope

But until my departure
I’ll stay here and wait
Soaking up knowledge
As I dream of my flight which will soon partake

Lately some of my friends at school have been slacking off and getting involved (and also starting) gossip and drama around the campus. It really troubles me to know that there are kids over in Africa and other needy countries that would LOVE to attend school and would not take it for granted like students today. It just sadens me to see these things in our world today...
