Your simple smile
illuminates the place
between my eyes and their lids,
While your fingers soon to fill
the lonely space between mine.
So take my hand in yours
together we'll walk these
lonely deserted streets.
Let those who look upon us
not see our shattered pasts,
But a new beginning
in which we'll never be alone,
joined by a new found love,
of a long last feeling.

So what do you say?
Walk with me till
the streets turn to clouds
beneath our paired up feet?
And there together we will lay
and forget our past mistakes.

But step by step
we must go,
as I build the courage
to tell you how I feel.
As I fear you do not feel the same.
If I tell you
will you run?
If I show it
am I dumb?

My hands shake
every time you smile.
And my heart begins to race
with every move you make.
And as I look into your eyes
I see a place I do not know
where maybe I’d be safe
and place I may call home.
