Summer Lines

Summer
feeling like fluttering golden butterflies kissing warmth about skin
blooming like the multiplied dandelions tickling passing toes
turning like water into wine,
all these unexpected lines.

Him, beside
expanding like the binding of a novel battling man vs. soul
words spoken in cadence as if they floated about like poetic verse
waiting like a fish out of water,
the air he has sought for.

I, next
dreams that long as my heart longs for nourishment
dancing about my mind like bees to a hive
answering that simple plea
to the fish without the sea.
