Favorite Quote:
People die...so love them everyday. Beauty fades...so look before it's gone. Love changes...but not the love you give. And if you love, you'll never be alone.

When I felt so down,
That surely I would drown,
In sorrow, and self pity,
Your words comforted me.
When my emotions run wild,
Your style gave me an outlet.
No matter how I’m feeling,
Whether it be angry,
Sad, happy, depressed.
Your inspiration helped my mind to rest.
You wrote and published five books,
And your words were put to music.
Music, which first led me to you.
I’ve always wanted the same for me,
Now I have reached that goal, somewhat.
One of my poems has been published,
I’ve won an award for it,
And it will become a C.D., now as well.
All of this wouldn’t be possible,
Without the help you unknowingly gave me.
Your poems gave me a way to express myself,
And I guess I’m good at it as well.
You made a new friend everywhere you went, they say.
But I just want to tell you,
That your words,
And your actions,
Combined together with your hard life,
Made you my hero.
It’s a shame you had to die so young,
You were such an amazing person.
I wish I could have met you in person,
To thank you,
Especially now that my writing is taking off,
Since I can’t,
I donate every year to the MDA Foundation,
In your memory.
I keep writing new poems,
But I finally realized,
That you needed your very own,
Not much,
I know,
Yet, I’m afraid it’s all I can do.
You helped me so much,
Such a shame it is,
That I can’t return the favor.

This was written for mattie J.T. Stepanek whose writing helped me through some really hard times.
