No weapon forged against you shall prosper.

At first I was filled with momentous pride

Standing in the deserted parking lot in awe at the moon

Feelings of unfamiliar nothingness engulfed me as the light

Shined on the parts of my heart and mind hiding in the dark

More thinking caused a loss of air

Submerging me beneath the gleaming surface of mysterious waters

My mind trapped me in its murky waters

Barely visible from below, six feet deep laid my pride

Inhaling to take a deep breath of air

Tides raised and lowered at the sight of the moon

Comfort fled, fear bred in the dark

Ignoring my trembling, God’s Grace served as a bright light

Like a ship lost at sea, I needed a guiding light

Rumbling from enraged waters

Flipped over my ship, plunging me in the dark

Crying for the shore, I sought more to find buried pride

The waves calmed as I found support from the moon

Rising to the surface, my lungs happily greeted fresh air

A short-lived escape, my oxygen tank ran out of air

Lacking breath, I lost sight of the light

Once again I sought guidance from the moon

Like a maestro with his orchestra, she conducted the waters

Crashing through seas, yearning to find my pride

Desire illuminated my soul to drive out the dark

Still, the tiniest corner of my mind remained in the dark

Inhaling once more a gallon worth of air

Determined was I to unite with my pride

Down below in the deep abyss was a shining light

Going against opposing currents of raging waters

Utilizing the strength of the sun and softness of the moon

Thank God for the gentleness of the moon

Without her aid I would be lost in the dark

She guided me through murky waters

Allowing me to breathe easily without polluted air

God gave her the light

To restore my soul and refill it with everlasting pride
