Moon light softly glowing,
stars will soon be showing,
clouds go away, and dare i say,
they won't be here to stay.

Moon light gaily shimmering,
the lake is now glimmering,
I think to myself, what am i on?
I'm floating on a swan.

Moon light slowly shattering,
gates are now clattering,
I look up in fright, I see a ligh,
then it leaves my sight.

Moon light slowly leaving,
my heart will soon be weeping,
for that day has come, my heart is numb,
and yet the pain's begun.

interesting choice of topic. I also wrote one similar.

I like your rhyme scheme. Nice topic, also!
