Waiting for Her Whisper

Every day she puts on a smile
pretending that everything
is just fine
no one knows what happening inside
what she thinks, what she feels
she cries only on the inside
she doesn't say, they don't ask
but her heart is breaking
with the burden she's carrying
she had no help
she had no love
but he was always waiting
waiting for her to realize
he was always there
always willing
just waiting on her call
for him to take the burden
to give her help
give her love
give her everything
she would ever need,
Just waiting for her whisper
