The Beach

The ripples of the waves from the ocean,
The crunching of the sand through my toes,
The warmth of the sun on my face,
To the beach is where I shall go...

The caws of the seagulls make a song.
The laughter from the children in the water,
The mud and the sand on the castles,
To the beach is where I shall go...

Splashing in the water cools me off.
There is ten pounds of sun-block just on my arms.
The snacks and crackers keep the birds busy.
To the beach is where I shall go...

The ripples of the waves from the ocean,
The crunching of the sand through my toes,
The warmth of the sun on my face,
To the beach is where I shall go...
