Staring into your eyes
glancing through to your soul,
cherishing every moment we’ve shared
knowing there could be no more,
begging for reasoning as to why this all might end
finding out we can only be friends;
after all the lies
you fed to me;
sleepless nights I’ve cried
all this pain and agony
the love we once shared has died;
no more smiling hopeful days
waking up my mind in a haze
everything I’ve known has gone,
up and walked away
left me with a broken heart
and nothing left to say.
