Pretty face but life disgrace
Never left home to move away
Want to leave, overrode
Disparate state of her humble abode
Leave Mother here? Never a thought
Could, would, but should not
Retention built with years gone lost
Decrepit now, she only cost
More than her worth, and one day her breath
Stopped -
Sign of hatred, resentful death
Able to leave this dungeon of past
Free to breathe in freedom, at last
Beginning new track without one glance back
Fault ignored; chains now slack
