Dead and Gone
Take the time to say goodbye
To the people you once loved
Before you leave the place you
Once knew
You were born, you grew up,
There were good times and bad
But you were gone before you knew it
You friends and family will miss you
But some will never know
Whatever happened to you
There were times when you were reminded
Of the kindergarten buddies
Who shared the toys you used to play with
You wish you would have seen them
One more time
But now it is much too late
You are dead and gone
You are only a memory
A shadow if you will
You had your chance
Now move along
You can't go back
It's much too late
Because you are dead and gone
