our song

two thoughts mingling together in my mind
soon enough they become one
not able to tell the diference
you and me
we seemed to fit
your words never left my mind
i chose my own heartbreak
those three words i should have said
are often
overused
underused
the way you speak to me
a dance with words
hard to keep up with
as the tempo changes constantly
and we become
two notes mingling together on a page
the music moving throughout us both
suddenly changes
an alteration in the tune
as the two notes become one
and cause the sound to become our story
our song
us two
no longer two but one
fitting together perfectly
