Dream Deferred
What happens to a dream deferred, you ask?
I can tell, undoubtedly,
a dream deferred is like ravenous poison, making way to the mind,
blocking out all other thought, until theres
nothing left.
it clouds my eyesight with tears,
and my brain with regret, thoughts of
what could have been.
turning, twisting,
wrapping around me,
choking blinding pressing down, on me,
until i cannot see the sun.
slowly...but surely...
a dream deferred is a silent suicide.
