I think of the things
I wrote back then
When I was nine
Or maybe ten

"O, to dance
Under the stars
To build a campfire
To sleep under the stars
So far
Up in the sky
So high..."

This poem really sends
Chills down my spine
For all the wrong reasons
Is this really mine?

"You are really nice to me
And you act very sweet
But I know that's phony
A bunch of baloney
Now don't make me repeat..."

Here's a heartwarming story
Girl leaves her false friend
It's cheesy, it's dull
Oh, when will this end?

I read all those works
And I think, oh wow!
How'll I feel about this poem
