Sweet Summertime
Spring days of May mean no more school.
We’re trading in our uniforms for bathing suits at the pool.
No more having to learn and sit in desks all day,
Now we are free to do whatever we want and play.
Tank tops, flip flops, and nice bronze tans,
The only thing we’ll worry about is nightly plans.
Working during the day to make some extra cash
Sure makes those dog days of summer go by in a flash.
We use this time to relax at the beach under the sun.
Laying out with your girlfriends—there’s nothing more fun!
Sitting back and loving life without projects and homework,
And without our teachers stressing out and making us go berserk!
Cruises, weekends at the beach, and road trips,
Days full of fun are right at your fingertips.
We’ve worked hard all school year long,
And summer is our time to sing a different, relaxing song.
