Addiction
Naive to what destruction you cause
I took a hit and regreted it
Warning signs all around
I ignored them
I inhaled and now I'm bound
you took over every thought
action and my entire being
now I'm in hiding afraid to be seen
blinded eyes wide open
paralyzed voice
speechless feet no where to go
Wandering searching for the next hit
mind spinning trying to figure out why I can't quit
Now I'm in recovery
puzzle piecing life
trying to fix the mess you've made
had me waking up in a cold sweat
trembling from withdrawal
pacing the floor
hands shaking
rolled up like a ball rocking back and forth
eyes all cried out
having flashbacks
I'll always be an addict
Addict to something I can't live without
I'll never forget you
LOVE
