Plans
Plans
I have it all planned out
I want it to end right
It had to end right
The way I want it to end
Happily
Smiling
Not tearing up and crying
Not the way I know it will end
The way that goes against my plans
Against my grain
Contradicting my feeling
My stationary opinions
My plans won’t end how I want them to
They never do
They never will
Why should they?
They are my plans
If they had been someone else’s, they’d end accordingly
Bu mine, they’d never
So that’s where I end
Sitting in a ball
Crying hard
Regretting what’s happened
Ruining my careful, precise planning
Like it does every time
All the time
Because my plans don’t matter
They never have
They never will
