Peacefully,
Like a newborn baby resting her eyes
Silence hovers over her world
And wraps her arms
Around the soft blanket
Of sleep.

Silence is a young bird, hoping
Her wings shall stay true, peering
Beyond her safe nest, leaping
To her true fate
In the air.
Noise
Is a gust of wind
Blowing her away from
The home she has always known.

Yawning
In a heap on the rug
Silence stretches
Soft paws of orange peace
Long whiskers of wispy stillness
Until
His scent has traveled
He scampers away
From the large hounds
Of chaotic racket.

Silence’s soft melody, classically beautiful
Sweeps us into a calm trance
Before being overrun
By the rough beat
Of blaring cacophony

Amazing! You're a brilliant poet.

I also love how you mentioned a cat in this. Because I love cats.
