last night's dream, was this morning's nightmare.

He said "I wrote a song it went just like this" I sang along my mind started to reminice. I memorized those songs when i was just a child; sat there on his bed one night reading them over for a while. He strummed the guitar i hummed the tune. The beer on his breath, it all leads back to you.

And i am still your daughter.
And i can't get enough.
And i keep getting lower.
You'd pretend to be tough.

The song ended and i dried my eyes.
I lit a cigarette and he walked outside. I closed my eyes opening them to a loud sound. I looked up it was your picture hitting the ground. I walked over and I screamed.

I am still your daughter.
I can't get enough.
I keep getting lower.
Just like you, i pretend to be tough.

I wrote this after looking through my mom's box she used to keep pictures and letters her and my father used to write to each other.
I was looking through it and found a song my dad wrote a long time ago. I hadn't seen it in forever and i was amazed at how i still remembered it.
