The most misunderstood

Misfortunate

Number

When you hear

Friday the Thirteenth

You want run

And hide under the bed

And drop dead

The number thirteen

Is the worst year of your life

That is when puberty hits you like

A bomb

Ready to blow

That you can’t let go

Thirteen is when you

Become a brat

And there is no welcome mat

It is when you worry so much

That you're head might as well blow up

And some never grow up

Thirteen is when you think you're

Better than everyone else

When in reality you're not

But for some of us it’s not like that

For some of us

Thirteen was/is a hell hole

Where we have no heart and soul

When we are the most anxious

And sad

When we are the most bullied

And judged

Some of us

Will suffer from anxiety and depression

And we will have so many questions

That probably will never be answered

Because, we think it’s not worth asking

Thirteen for some

Was there ego boost

For me it was an ego drop

It was a big belly flop

Thirteen was a that hope I needed

And the realization that it was only a slide under

A microscope

Thirteen became the ocean

Of words

That started to drown me

That I hoped it wouldn't be

Twelve was always ok with

Thirteen

And Thirteen didn’t mind

Twelve

Thirteen always loved us

But, it always hurt us

Like I would hurt the ones I care for the most

And the hatred that we had for Thirteen

Would be seen as love for Thirteen

And the realization that

Thirteen hates Fourteen

Came to eyes view

But Fourteen loved Thirteen

And always made a scene

But that scene would be unseen

Because Thirteen was as cold

As the snow in Alaska in winter

As hurtful as a splinter

Then you realize Thirteen loved

Fourteen

And Fourteen actually

hates Thirteen

Maybe that is why

Thirteen hurts us so much

Because it is hurt

Does that mean fifteen loves Fourteen

And Fourteen hates Fifteen

But it’s actually reverse

Does that mean Fourteen will be better

Then thirteen

Or will that be reverse

Or maybe it is a never ending curse

That won’t be a first

But, now that I think about it

Thirteen changed my ways of

Thinking and made me a better person

So I think maybe thirteen

needs just a little bit of love

And we will see how great it is
