Dear Midwest Weather
Hello, dear Weather, just thought I would ask
Are you aware that winter season has passed?
It's April now, Weather, it's time for the sun
Not inches of snow when the day's just begun
Rain showers, Weather, those we could withstand
It's the incessant cold that's getting so bland
So please, Weather, just give us some Spring
Let picnics ensure and let cockatiels sing
Let children run wild barefoot in the grass
Let daffodils bloom and please let winter pass!
