“What will I do today?” I ask
“What wonders will unfold?
What games will I play?
Which roads will I tread?
What will I discover?”

“Come play with me” whispers the Tree
“Climb my branches
Look out into the sky
Over the meadows
And over the streams
See all the world from me”

“Come play with me” sighs the grass
“Roll in my soft shoots of green
Run and skip
Laugh and sing

“Play with me” splashes the stream
“Splash in my waters
Slide on my stones
Ooze about in my mud
Treasures are hidden beneath”

‘The world calls to me
Beckons me
Excites me
I know what I will do today.”
