Silver Linings
I saw a silver lining
in a gray and cloudy sky
so I tucked it in my pocket
to keep it safe and dry
In the battles I have faltered
the troubled waters I shall ride
I smile all the more
for the sunshine by my side
But then I saw a fellow
his eyes were red and drawn
so I gave him all my sunshine
to paint a pretty dawn
My pocket now hangs empty
weightless, I fly high
without sunshine in my pocket
I can see a silver sky
