Bittersweet Torture Of Love

Love, we long for it.
We hate it. And yet it seems,
we cant live without it.
Love is a dream and a horrifying nightmare.
It can be as luxurious as silk.
But as painful as salt in an open wound.
Why do we need love?
Why do we torture ourselves?
We must lust for the bittersweet torture of love.
Love, we long for it, we hate it. And we can’t breathe
without it.
Love, the balance of good and evil.
