Water relentlessly sprays over the port side
Waves lifting the vessel with the intention of death
Woven baskets cascade down from the shelves
We watched in fear as we hit the climax of the wave
Whistling down to our sure demise!
Whimpers are heard when all goes silent
When the sea’s force diminishes
When the tyrant retreats to his domain
Water’s ways are not to be fooled
When I was once vain, I learned the lesson
Of Mother Nature’s domain
