People always say
"Trust in God. He will lead the way."
Where is God when the economy crashes?
Where is God when the hungry and poor die on our sidewalks?
Where is this 'God' everyone speaks so highly of?
So badly I want to believe that there is a miracle worker in the clouds.
So badly I want to believe that when I die I go somewhere where nothing is wrong in the world.
But there's nothing.
There's nothing up there for me.
We'll be bones in a box.
A box 6 feet under the wet earth.
People do not want to accept the truth.
They want to die, knowing that they belong in a beautiful land, made only for the purest of heart.
I Understand that feeling.
You can call me a sinner.
But i do not believe in sins.
I believe in mistakes.
I believe in misjudgments.
I believe in accidents.
I do not pray before I rest.
I do not beg when I am in need.
I do not worship what I do not believe.

I really like how this is written. It's very powerful. I agree completely, and I ask myself these questions all the time.

I'm sorry if I came across as hardheaded or  offensive. I do understand where you're coming from and appreciate your input. You do have strong reasons to back up your thoughts, and I admire that. :)

Thank you for your comment (:

Hmm. Thought-provoking. This seems like more of a poem, but whatever. I liked the writing, and the spacing. But about the content. I really dislike it when people ask about God and where he is when bad things are taking place. The question is double-sided: What about when that person pulls through and beats their cancer? When someone is cured of their depression? When the people in Africa are given food and clothes? When Americans go around the world and build houses? You have to understand God created free will. Every time something goes wrong, he's not going to swoop down and fix it. It would be too obvious he's up there. It's completely fine not to belive, but if you want to, then do! Just because the economy crashed doesn't mean he doesn't exist. I don't mean to tear you down; sorry if it came across that way. Feel free not to worship, because religion is just based on hope and faith. I just don't like when people ask "where God is".
