Made for Radio, but Was Only Accepted by Teen Ink

Hi, you're reading, and I'm theed itor writing to you, I suppose, about this ad. I’m supposed to be describing something great about life. Well, I hope this ad is great to you. If it’s not, I've failed. I accept that. But let’s not focus on that. Let’s focus instead, on this ad. You may be in a car, stuck in traffic, gridlocked, perhaps you’re laughing now. You’re laughing, and that makes the traffic, not better, but tolerable. Or maybe, you're in your office using the radio, and your boss just dumped a lot of work on you, and you're listening to this, and your chuckling, because if an ad that uplifts can't take itself seriously, why should we be serious?

The author's comments:

the inherent ridiculousness of an ad that uplifts, rather than bring you down for not having a product. speaking of which, wait until the uplifting ads thing for NPR gets aired, at which point, you may not be able to use this. oh well.
