How I Changed for the Better was a truly inspiring story, especially when bullying is such a huge problem in society these days. We think that bullying isn’t anything serious and can lead to nothing, but this article obviously differs. Ryan Halligan, a boy who took away his life because of being bullied as a teenager represents this problem. The person telling the story realizes that during the assembly, he isn’t that innocent as well. In fact, we’re all guilty. There is not one person who hasn’t made fun of someone else in their entire life. How I Changed for the Better showed me how we all have an effect on the person when we bully them, whether it’s a clever remark, or we’re simply judging them out loud. Hopefully, one day, bullying can be stopped and lives can be saved.
