I don't believe in peace as long as humans are the way they are. It's just our excuse to go to someone else and completely eradicate them because they were doing what we believe were wrong. But then, which of us is more wrong? This is how I view the cycle: power begets envy, envy begets hatred, hatred begets violence, violence begets offense, offense begets defense, defense begets war, war begets victory, victory begets power, and we start from square one. If peace were something that could be obtained through war, then why are we not there yet. As a matter of fact, we have a hard enough time achieving peace within ourselves, much less the people around us and the people around the world. Peace is an illusion. Either you remain neutral or you go to war, but neither is the road to peace.
