I believe that the D.A.R.E. program should no longer be active in schools in the U.S. In my opinion, the program is more convincing students to try illegal drugs rather than stopping the use of them. While this program may be a very expensive program, students still don’t understand the full harm of drugs. Millions of dollars are wasted on this program every year, but it is meaningless. Instead, this money should be used to form other ways of dealing with drug abuse. As D.A.R.E. may teach students facts about certain types of drugs, it is not stopping students from using them.
