Rainbows=Gay?

Let me just say this: I'm completely straight. I'ma chick and I like dudes.
When people ask me what my favorite color is, I say "The Rainbow".
Why?
Because I like all colors. I can't say I only like one color.
(Even though "The Rainbow" is not really a color)
But, when I say I like rainbows or I wear rainbows
I get the same question: "Are you a lesbian?"
My answer: "No.I can't like rainbows without being gay?"
My question is: What's people's deals with asuming rainbows comes
a gay person?
One word: Stereotyping.
One word I don't like to use. I hate being labled or stereotyped.
Just because a person likes or wears rainbows doesn't automatically
mean they are gay. I mean, they could be, but who are you to make
that assumption?
But, another reason I wear rainbows is that iSUPPORT GLTB people.
I don't see why people are so close-minded about gay people.
Are they really that bad?
From what I know, No, they aren't that bad.
My friend is Bi-Sexual.
Yeah, I have to admit, it's cool checkin' out guys with him.
Getting his opinion on things and seeing things from his point of veiw.
But, don't make up your mind about someone because of the clothes they wear,
where they come from, their sexual orientation, ect.
You're not giving them a chance at life.
Let them be them.
As in the words of Michael Jackson:
"Before you judge me, try hard to love me."

Well apparently people will never realize gays aren't different. they'll always be set aside as if they're the soiled side dish right? well sometimes... I'm not against gay at all and i like your statement it's just funny how you wear gay to support but don't stereotype... isn't that in a way doing so? i'm just wondering.

it's stereotyping, but not NEGATIVE stereotyping. actually, it's called support. :)

Good article! I don't see why people hate gays. They're gay! OKay! whoop-de-doo!
We ignore wars to hate gays, but gays kill far less people than wars.
P.S LOVE your quote at the end! I know that quote and the song it's from!

There are alot of people who assume you are gay when you wear rainbow items. I personally don't care. I mean if a person is gay why should people. If it makes them happy why hate them. I have a few friends that are gay. I don't treat them any different or judge them because of it. People so be more open minded.

I agree. Rainbows are cool! Especially in phycedellic patterns. My ONLY problem with gay people is I think it was a little greedy to take the RAINBOW as thier symbol. LOL just kidding.
p.s I like your quote

You're so right! I have (no joke) about five gay friends. Plus there are more in my school who I don't consider friends. I'm totally supportive, unlike other kids or the adults who grew up with entirely straight people.
