Election Night

December 5, 2008
By Anonymous

The crisp early winter's wind blows through the falling leaves of nearly every tree around. There is a tiny voice in the cold that seems to whisper "change" to all the people. As any american can surely tell you, tonight is history. I lay in bed eyes fixated on the television. President Elect Obama is eloquently and passionately giving his acceptance speech. I feel in my own eye and see in so many more a glistining tear. Some of them even witnessed with their own two eyes the horrible segregation and apartheid-like society of the 1950's 60's and beyond. This is not only about race though. Tonight is a nation in re-birth. Tonight is a people freed from suffering. For good of bad, tonight is history.

at about 11:50 on November 4th 2008, as i lay in bed trying to speek, i was moved to write. I got this feeling in my stomach that i only get when i know i'm about to narrate a beautiful occurance. And that is was.

A fellow Merion writer... with fellow Gobama feelings. I wrote something that night too, but yours really made me think. Sort and sweet and oh-so-true. Love it!

I agree and disagree, people will suffer continuously throughout. Obama will suffer greatly throughout time. But good write.
