Transcendentalism is to Nature
As Nature is to Happiness
Happiness is to Subjectivity
As Subjectivity is to Creativity
Creativity is to Free-Thought
As Free-thought is to Non-Conformity
Non-Conformity is to Art
As Art is to Original Knowledge
Original Knowledge is to Transcendentalism

Emerson would deplore the destruction of Fine arts in our schools. Although he refers to nature as his safe haven for the truly content, there is simply nothing more natural than expression through the fine arts. As young people, fine arts are one thing we assume that everyone advocates and therefore in our eyes is our safe haven. Music, Drama, Dance, Art, Literature. These are our elements of Nature, our elements of Transcendentalism. It should not be up to a Board of Directors nor a City Council to make the decision that if this stays in existence.
