Gas Prices: Enough Is Enough

Gas prices have been rapidly increasing and people are outraged. Long gone are the days when we could fill up our tanks and not be broke afterwards.
Since this has been happening, I’ve noticed that there are more small sized vehicles on the road. People are bringing out their older, more fuel efficient cars so they don’t have to worry about the prices as much. Car lots are starting to sell “smart cars” and fuel flex vehicles as well.
The price for gas has definitely not been cheap over the past year or so, but compared to the prices these days, it was a steal. The price seems to rise every week and very drastically for that matter. Gasoline prices across the nation rose 33 cents a gallon on average the last week of April. The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) says, “This increase was the second largest ever recorded by the government over a two-week period.” Gasoline at this time is averaging $3.51 nationally for a gallon of regular, with prices over $4 in California and elsewhere.
If things continue to go the way they are right now, America is in big trouble. Vacations are going to be canceled because people are unwilling to pay these outrageous prices. Not only are these rising prices going to affect people’s plans, but businesses, like movie theaters, are going to suffer as well because nobody will have enough spending money after stopping at the gas station every week.
When will this trend end? Nobody knows, but the one thing that most people are realizing, is that life is becoming more and more difficult and we’re going to have to learn to adapt to these changes - whether we like it or not.

So beautiful. It really all is about having a positive point of view, and going through life, your painting, and watching it grow and become beautiful!

Thank you for sharing your opinion. You have a nice concept of writing your argument. Very organized. But I do not think that United States and Mexico should join hands together. It is best for each other to have a border.

Good argument. I would agree with you that gasoline prices are rising.
