I just read Matraca's article called "The Homecoming" and what a great article it was. I really appreciate that Matraca shared her story with us because I know its hard for some kids to tell other people about this topic.
I could really relate to what Matraca was saying. I do not have any parents that currently serve in our Armed Forces but i always wonder what it would be like if my mom or dad left home and was away for months at at time with little contact with them.
Matraca I really enjoyed your story thank you for letting everyone hear your experience.
