The Truth About Teenage Love

By
Kids our age don't understand what love is. No matter what clique, how they dress, or their grade point average, everyone thinks they have to have a bf/gf to be excepted. Is that what every one wants? To be accepted? The answer is yes. Fake love is when you think you love someone because you think your supposed to or you all of a sudden decide to. Another case of fake love is when someone ask you out that you don't like. You say yes. They think they're "in love" with you. You break-up with them. They're crushed. This case is a two-way fake love. Now there is two types of true love. Don't you always hear storys about highschool sweethearts? Well don't get your hopes up. This happends rarely. Then there's when you actually like them. Your always together. Then eventually you let go. Everything has its time, and you know the time was right. You don't feel sad because you cherish the moments and memories you two had together. Thats true love. But God has a plan for each and everyone of us. And he has a certain special person already picked out. So live you life and eventually they'll come to you! So don't give in to fake love and keep your eyes peeled!

Though this article is old.. I felt the need to state my opinion regardless. I do believe that "Teenage Love" exists. I myself, though I'm only 18, have experienced real love in high school. You can't put an age on love, and granted most my age are more 'infatuated' than they're in love, b... (more »)

I agree completely, I'm a senior in high school and and 17 years old and i've never had a GF because i never saw the point, everyone always parades around thinking they're so cool, to the point where they have lost sight of what love actually is.

I'm not sure that a seventh grader should really be talking about love. Your opinions are interesting...but it's hard to define something like love...especially if you've never experienced it.

Ridiculous. You don't even talk about how love can bring pain as well. You're putting down whoever's in love. I'm a year older than you are, and I live in New York. No offense, but that's what really happens in your state, where everyone's white and want to fit in so much. Here in New York City, we learn to accept each other's differences because there's people from everywhere and we actually strive to be different, not to fit in. Teenage love really does exist. [true love too, mind you] I'm sor... (more »)
