If I had an extra $100 thousand, I would give $50 thousand to charity. $10 thousand would be donated to the Dorothy Day Center for the homeless. The remaining $40 thousand I would donate to a charity for kids in Africa so they could have clean water and nutritional foods and to help them learn to read.
The remaining $50 thousand, I would split into two more groups. One would be about $10 thousand and the other would be $40 thousand. $7,000 of the first group would go to my family, and the remaining $3,000 would go to me so I could buy myself some video games, new shoes, and a T.V. The final $40 thousand I would put into a savings account for my future.
