Summary:

Annabelle's story begins on September 19th, 2099, in a seemingly perfect world where crime, illness, and discrimination are nonexistent. However, Annabelle is an anomaly, suffering from a mysterious illness despite society's immunity to diseases. Frustrated by the lack of answers, she decides to run away to the headquarters of the American Medical Association (AMA) to uncover the truth.

Annabelle encounters an AI named ALLY inside the AMA and waits to speak with a medical professional. She eventually meets a human doctor who is surprised by her young age and the fact that she's sick. Armed men storm in before they can delve deeper into her condition, revealing their intent to kill her.

In a parallel story, Connor, Annabelle's childhood friend, leads a dull life in the same society but decides to explore abandoned places. By chance, he witnesses Annabelle's kidnapping outside the AMA and intervenes to rescue her.
