Summary: U-743 is just another cog in the machine of the Millenium. One day a work accident causes her to lose two fingers and remain in the hospital. She starts to form an emotional bond with the nurse who is taking care of her, which is strange because she doesn't have feelings, does she?

A horrific accident lands her in the middle of the woods, lost and alone. She wanders to a village near the woods and learns there is a whole different way of life outside her bleak one. When a man from the Millenium shows up at the village looking to take her home, things go wrong. He turns everything she has ever known to be true upside down.
