Ally this is for you: http://www.teenink.com/poetry/free_verse/article/301872/A-Moment-in-Time/

Author's note: I've always liked reading and writing came naturally with it! Back in 6th grade, I started working on this with the help of my English teacher! Ive decided to go and get some feedback on the first few pages just to get an idea of how people feel about this type of story and my writing ideas :)

The author's comments:
Thanks for reading :)

Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Everyone can do it, simple. Babies do it from the minute their brought to earth, so why can't I? After seventeen years I should be able to breath. I probably should be able to do alot of things actually. If you had asked me three years ago, I would have laughed and called you crazy-it's just a matter of inhaling air right?!? Wrong. I now know that each breath is a gift. A precious oppurtunity that keeps us from death. Now I know too much, enough to kill me. So that's what I'll do. I'll stop fighting with gods plan. I'll go where ever it is people like me go after earth. Heaven? Hell? Nowhere at all? Where ever it is, it will be better than where I stand now.
Brown eyes, black hair. One-hundred ten pounds, five feet two inches. One bestfriend, single. Two parents, one sister. No obvious skills. Hardly athletic or creative. Lacking originality. Basically, I was your stereotypical fourteen year old girl.
Then reality hit. No not reality...hell. Hell hit like an earth quake. An earthquake I call Aiden. A mess. That's what they called me. A hideous, no good, slutty mess. Was I? Is ANYONE? I guess I used to think that. The kind of girls who went to parties and left the next day with nothing but a hangover. But now i know. I know we're all full of layers, and each layer has a story. Mess with the wrong one and you get kids who end up like me.
Even after the chaos is done, no one forgets. I was covered with scars, so deep and putrifying no one would ever forget. Not me, not my friends, no one.
So I'll tell you. I'll tell you what got me to this place. What drove me to the edge. I'll tell you why I'm standding here now, preparing to kill myself."

"maahghghh" I moaned awakening to the obnoxious wail of my alarm clock. Slowly slitting my eyes open I adjusted to the luminous September light streaming through my window.
Who knew it could be so bright at 5 A.M?
Grabbing my phone from the dresser next to me I flipped it open and checked for messages. Zippo. I cautiously peeled away from under the warm covers and stretched out my arms releasing a morning breath yawn.
"crap" I stuttered, catching a glimpse of myself in the small mirror above my dresser. A closer look proved it true, I had a big ole zit right smack dab on the middle of my chin. Suddenly filled with energy I dashed towards the shared bathroom, almost colliding head on with Mel and her hot crimper.
"Nice big one sis." she muttered taking sight of the mountain on my face.
Ignoring her I rustled through my drawer. Lotion-no. Hairbrush-no. Make up-yes. I quickly chamofloged it to the best of my abilities and took a quick look in the mirror.
"good?" I asked nervously. Mel always knew these things, she was a junior for crying out loud!
"Sure," she dryly responded, quickly reverting her attention back to attempting to fix get already perfect blonde hair.
Rolling my eyes I finished applying my makeup and pulled my ebony hair back into a low side pony.
I couldn't help but like the way the mirror looked back at me. Pretty, I thought.
Finally after getting dressed and packing a light lunch, I was ready.
First day of high school-here I come, I dared, not knowing the slightest bit of what was really ahead.

Their are ups and downs to having the second bus stop. For starters, you could sit anywhere you wanted and save seats easily. But than again is it really worth it to wake up so early and spend an hour on the cramped bus?
I trotted up the filth covered bus steps and go figure, it was practically empty. Choosing a seat 3 rows in I made myself comfortable- backpack next to me, head phones in ears, iPod in hand.
I'll Admit I was slightly about to implode with nervousness but nothing a good playlist couldn't cure. After an era of songs from P!nk Eminem and Gaga, we were finally at our last stop. After a few miles I gave up on trying to pick out faces in the haurds of kids that made their way onto the bus. I knew a few but a majority of the group were strangers.
"Anyone sitting here?"
"Hu-what?" I questioned, blasting back to reality from my musical havin.
"I asked if anyone was sitting here", the voice repeated, this time with a light chuckle.
"oh no...sit" I mumbled searching words that might recover me from my current position as village idiot. Pulling my backpack to the floor I tucked my headphones away and pulled closer to the dull window.
"I'm Aiden," the boy offered with a warm smile. I could see little laugh lines dancing around his speckled hazel eyes.
"Sierra," I suggested, attempting to raise my voice over the people around me. "you a freshman?"
Just than the bus haulted to a stop, letting out sounds of exhaust. Lifting my eyes to the world around me, I caught site of the building that would remain my jail cell until age 18.
"Here," Aiden spoke hanidng me my backpack. "follow."
Obeying I scurried after him into the crowd of kids already evacuating onto the school yard. The chaos was growing with each bus load being dumped. I could feel a migraine setting home in my left temple.
I started heading towards the large open doors with the rest of the high school population but was quickly pulled away towards a bench 5 feet off from the maim stream.
"Woah grabby what's your deal!" I rudely erupted at my taker, Aiden.
"Sorry princess perfect! Just though I'd get a better response considering I just saved you from being the last one off that bus!" he retorted with a smirk.
"Fine. What do you need? Home room starts in like ten minutes and I don't want to be late on my first day and-"
"Schedule." he cut me off flatly.
Pouting I savaged it from my pocket, placing it in his pale hands.
"Oh cool-lunch, Chemistry and Carreers together,"
I couldn't help but smile at the fact that we had all those classes together. I couldn't help but smile at Aiden.

"Painters paint their pictures on canvas...but a musician paints his picture on silence."-Leopold Stokowski

At the beginning it said Sierra was 17 years old, but she's a freshman in high school? Also, you may want to brush up on your GUM (Grammar, usage and mechanics). I.e. the difference between "then" and "than," the differences between "there," "their," and "they're," and also maybe some spelling. I think with improvement, this could be a great story. :)
