Summary:

May had fantastical dreams about becoming one of the queen's best Slayers one day. But those hopes were dashed when she discovered that one of the boys in her class is actually a Rider. He showed her his dragon, and suddenly, her view of life changed. She finds that dragons are not monsters, and Riders are not always cruel and merciless. But in order to stay with the boy and his dragon, May has to leave her village...possibly forever.

Who will she follow? Where will her loyalty lay? With the queen, or with the dragons?
