Beaver Lake is the true treasure of Waukesha County. It is the bluest, clearest lake in all of Waukesha County. Every morning, I drive by and see the sunlight scattered across the water. It is truly a sight to behold.
The blue teal color of the water is a result of a mixture of sand, clay, and limestone. There is little algae because there is a higher concentration in the lake of calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonate bind. the turquoise color is a result of the backscattering of light from calcium carbonate suspended on the water.

The fresh cool water hits you as you race down the lake on personal watercraft. You can escape the daily stresses of life by fishing on the lake. There are  many different types of fish in the lake. There is bass, trout, bluegill, sunfish, and many others.

This is why I think Beaver Lake is the treasure of Waukesha County.
