Watching my team, the clock ticks time away slowly. The sharp football turf feels like tiny knives in my knees. The team’s tailback runs for 10 yards. The score is 12-14. Our tight end gets hit hard. He is yelling in pain as he is taking quickly off the field. The coach says ‘’ Tyler, you’re in’’. I rush to the huddle. The quarterback says ‘’Shotgun 200 seam, Tyler your getting it’’.
Sweating
Panting
Nodding

My heart is pounding of my chest

Down
Set

Hit!
I growl and sprint for the end zone. The ball is in the air. The crowd rises out of their seats. The ball starts its descent.
Tensing
Running
Concentrating
Hoping
The ball falls softly into my hands. TOUCHDOWN!!!! The roar of the crowd is amazing. The entire stadium is going insane for their winning team!
