"To Tara"

You leave me here all alone,
So you can venture out into the world unknown.
I know you mean well,
but I still don't want you to go.
We remember the good times, and some of the bad.
And all of the fun times we ever had.
At the end of the season it didn't end well.
It wasn't your fault, everyone messed up.
You were always the leader,
the one I looked up to.
You told me your secret, to be a good leader.
You said it was my turn.
I had to take over, because you were leaving.
Our friendship was never a joke,
and never will be.
You said you would be there for me, and I said the same.
We laughed together.
We cried together.
We did absolutly everything together.
We don't know what the future holds,
but we promise to never forget each other.
You walked into my life, and ended up leaving your foorprints all across my heart.

I love you Tara, you are the best pitcher, teammate, and friend ever!
