The Race MAG

By Unknown, Unknown, Unknown

   It was the state finals.

I'd made it this far, I could do it,

I knew I could.

But my legs felt weak,

my head light,

I wanted to throw up.

I was sweating with anticipation

Everyone else looked so calm

I wanted to go home

I felt my muscles tighten with fear

as I crouched into starting position

The shot rang in my ears and

I was off!
