My Experiences as a Closeted Gay Teen
Being a teen that identifies as gay is hard enough, being a closeted one is even harder. Straight people don’t realize the privilege they have. So many of us LGBT kids are put down, harassed, and even killed for being the minority. No wonder we have a “closet”, it’s really the only place we feel safe. I understand the world needs time to accept us, I just wish it would hurry up the process. In times of bullying and suppression, I look to all the other wonderful queer people in my life. You are not alone. You are not the only one.
