They are what puts a smile on my face. The one thing that makes my heart feel warm and happy. One hundred Christmas lights with a braided wire and bright glow. One hundred who sit perfectly on our roof. One hundred lights making the snow glisten. From my room, I can see them, but I still sleep soundly every night.

Their light is warm. They remind me of the holidays and happy times. The shine and shine and illuminate the streets between the trees and under the dark sheet of the night. This is their purpose. One may forget their purpose, only to be reminded, by their gentle glow. Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle they go as I sleep. They shine.
When I am feeling sad and too upset to shine, when I am a dull light of the world, I look to the lights. When there is only the light of the moon to light up the darkness. One hundred who shine despite the shortages. One hundred who shine and don’t burn out. One hundred whose reason is to shine and shine.
